We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer / Team Lead to guide our talented Product Experience Team in crafting industry-leading SaaS solutions. As a Senior UX Designer – Team Lead, you will lead a team of UX designers and content specialists to create a next-generation user experience for Basware products. This role combines leadership, hands-on design, and UX strategy development.
The Basware Product Experience Team consists of UX Designers and Content Designers, working together to shape industry-leading SaaS solutions. With a focus on AI-driven innovations and a microservices-based architecture, we tackle complex UX challenges across multiple applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Mentor and inspire the Experience team, ensuring collaboration with Product Management, Development and Customers. Represent User and Content Experience within the organization and drive design excellence.
- UX Design & Strategy: Define and maintain Basware’s design language, ensuring consistency and usability across web and mobile SaaS services. Develop wireframes, layouts, and interaction designs, conducting usability studies to validate solutions.
- Design System & Innovation: Contribute to and expand the Basware Design System, creating scalable, reusable components. Advocate for emerging UX and Content design trends, tools, and best practices. Rapidly prototype and test concepts with stakeholders and end-users.
- Process & Strategic Impact: Enhance Experience processes, aligning with Basware’s product strategy. Work in cross-functional, remote, and multicultural teams to drive AI-based innovations and new product launches.
This hands-on leadership role is ideal for a seasoned UX designer passionate about solving complex design challenges while shaping the experience of over 1 million global users.

Skills & Requirements
We would enjoy working with a professional with the following skills and qualifications:
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field
- Several years of experience designing enterprise software applications
- Proven experience as a UX team leader, with the ability to:
- Mentor and coach UX designers at various skill levels
- Hire, build, and nurture high-performing UX teams
- Resolve conflicts and provide constructive feedback
- Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and innovation
- Experience in managing Content Design and Localization for international applications
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional, multicultural, and remote teams
UX Design & Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
- Strong understanding of usability principles and accessibility standards (WCAG guidelines)
- Experience in designing for multiple platforms (web, mobile, desktop, etc.)
- Strong ability to define and execute a UX strategy, translating visions into concepts and simplifying complex processes through user-centered design
- A deep understanding of developer needs, ensuring seamless collaboration between design and engineering teams
- Experience with SaaS software development
- Familiarity with User Engagement solutions (advantageous).
Strategic Thinking & Innovation
- Ability to stay up-to-date with emerging UX trends and technologies
- Strong advocacy for new design methodologies and tools to improve processes and efficiency
Communication & Collaboration
- Fluent in written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams, influencing stakeholders and aligning UX initiatives with business goals
