System Specialist HRIS to Scandic Hotels Group

This is a new role with a lot of flexibility and varied work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and friendly environment. The role will report to our Head of Tech for Team Member Journey within Scandic IT & Tech organization.

As a System Specialist within HRIS, you will play a key role in taking several applications to the next level at Scandic. We see great potential in leveraging these tools further at Scandic Hotels Group to enhance productivity and elevate the overall Team Member Experience.

Main activities and responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain HRIS environments, including Workday, Quinyx, GetAccept, and Payroll systems.
  • Configure systems and enforce best practices, including automation for improved efficiency.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and ensure data security and compliance.
  • Optimize system performance and manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions.
  • Develop and maintain HRIS documentation and keep the ITSM tool up to date.
  • Deliver training sessions for service desk and key users.
  • Support migrations, upgrades, and IT projects related to HRIS.
  • Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders (HR, IT, business units).
  • Analyze system usage and performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of IT policies and procedures related to HRIS.

Skills & Requirements

Background & skills:

  • Extensive experience working with HRIS, including configuration of business processes, tasks, and organizational setup.
  • Experience with different HR and WFM systems, with an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Hands-on experience with system integrations between Workday and other systems (e.g., Payroll, Workforce Management).
  • Understanding of HR Master Data and its role in system interoperability.
  • Experience working in multi-country environments, preferably within Nordic collective agreements and legislation.
  • Experience with Workforce Management Systems (e.g., Quinyx), Payroll Systems (e.g., SD Worx), and Digital Signage (e.g., GetAccept)
  • ITIL knowledge, particularly Incident/Problem Management.
  • Technical and user-facing documentation skills.
  • Ability to navigate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and colleagues.
