This is a unique opportunity to grow and learn in the fields of business development, management consulting, international procurements and big business deals. During the spring we will be filling several different roles in the region across the offices, such as Consultant, Senior Consultant, Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager.

Driven by mega trends such as demographics and technological leapfrogging, the South and Southeast Asia region is at the center of the world's economic growth. With an increasing consumer and working population base, more Swedish companies are exploring opportunities for both sales and production in the region. At the same time, the region remains diverse from cultural, economic, and political perspectives.

Business Sweden has a strong presence in the region with ten offices dedicated to supporting Swedish companies by identifying opportunities, setting growth strategies, finding and evaluating business partners, and managing programs for securing mega-project deals. As a result, the role of a Business Sweden employee is multifaceted, challenging, and highly rewarding. To be successful in this role, you need an analytical and problem-solving mindset, curiosity about business, people, and culture, and a commitment to being a team player.

This is an opportunity for you to develop and challenge yourself within Business Sweden. Some responsibilities and tasks you'll have in our daily work:

  • Representing Business Sweden as a trusted advisor and helping clients find solutions to their most pressing challenges.
  • Delivering consulting projects across various sizes and industries to support Swedish companies in their international business development and expansion plans. This includes ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Developing deep insights into industry areas based on your prior expertise.
  • Defining project and platform concepts, as well as establishing direction, objectives, scope, and timelines.
  • Be a part of/driving client discussions and sales cycle, including monitoring leads, developing a pipeline, and creating project scopes, proposals, and cost estimates.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through consistent communication, understanding their needs, and tailoring solutions accordingly.

Skills & Requirements

Core competencies and collaborative skills

  • Demonstrate commitment, honesty, and accountability in tasks. Higher academic degree, probably a Master of Science in Business, Administration or/and Engineering.
  • Provide support and take ownership to ensure high quality delivery on time.
  • Collaborate effectively to achieve good results with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Contribute to team spirit and transparent communication.
  • A problem solver who easily adapts to new ways of working.
  • Voice your own ideas and share opinions. Show appreciation for different perspectives.

Formal requirements

  • Higher academic degree, probably a Master of Science in Business or/and Engineering.
  • Work experience in management consultancy is highly advantageous.
  • Work experience from Team Sweden actors such as the Foreign Ministry (UD), SEK, EKN, and Swedfund is advantageous.
  • Work experience within / exposure to international procurement and/or trade promotion is beneficial.
  • Experienced lead generation and involvement in client dialogues are beneficial.
  • Running projects with multi-layer deliveries and complex role structures.
  • A high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English is a requirement.
