R&D Specialist

As R&D Specialist, you will be responsible for managing pre-clinical studies, supporting new product development, and conducting scientific reviews and competitor analyses. You will report to our R&D Manager and collaborate closely with the QA & Regulatory team for product registrations. As an early member of the Nordberg Medical team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to contribute to our journey as a global leader in anti-aging solutions!

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Project management of pre-clinical studies, such as biocompatibility studies and academic collaborative studies.
  • Participate in new product development activities, both internally and externally with CRO companies and academia.
  • Conduct scientific review and competitor analysis for current and new products.
  • Support new product registration work, such as CE MDR, and US FDA.
  • Support scientific communications with the Medical Affairs and Commercial teams as well as KOLs.
  • Coordinate scientists KOLs in biomaterial science.

Skills & Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • A master's degree in biomedicine, biotechnology, or similar.
  • Around 3 years of experience in R&D or Regulatory Affairs in the Medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Good analytical and statistical skills to e.g. analyze experimental data.
  • Good scientific communication and writing skills.
  • Fluency in English.

Beneficial Qualifications

  • Medical knowledge in dermatology and/or orthopedics.
  • Experience in biocompatibility studies.
  • Experience and/or knowledge in Bioinformatics.
  • A degree specifically in biomaterials science.
  • Other language skills are advantageous.

Other information

This role is based at our centrally located office in Stockholm (Klarabergsviadukten 63) and offers a hybrid work setup. Occasional business travel is required, with an estimated frequency of a few trips per year.
