We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager (m/f/d) to drive new business growth and expand our client portfolio in the DACH region. This role is key to our strategic expansion and will play a vital role in securing new customers and ensuring sustainable growth.

Your Role

As a Senior Business Development Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for:

New Business Acquisition & Sustainable Growth

  • Take ownership of the client acquisition process, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and business development strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Identify new customer segments from scale-ups to corporates, develop a strong sales pipeline, and secure new business opportunities.
  • Lead initial conversations and be a partner to senior stakeholders across different phases of client maturity.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create innovative formats and events to nurture relationships and generate a constant stream of new leads.

Strategic Account Development

  • Build and expand new relationships with clients through consultative selling, ensuring long-term partnerships and business growth.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize client value.

Team Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with sales, senior consultants, and cross-functional teams from design, technology and business to develop tailor-made solutions for clients.
  • Collaborate with the business development team in achieving continuous growth and profitability through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Market Expansion & Industry Positioning

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitors, and new business opportunities.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing Futurice at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

What You Bring

🎯 Proven Experience in Sales & Business Development

  • Several years of experience in client acquisition and business development, preferably in tech consultancy, digital services, or software development.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving annual sales goals, pipeline development, and securing new business.
  • Experience in actively working with marketing and lead generation.

🎯 Strong Client Relationship & Negotiation Skills

  • Excellent negotiation, networking, communication, and presentation skills to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships and drive consultative sales approaches.

🎯 Entrepreneurial & Strategic Thinking

  • Ability to build on scalable sales processes and work with data-driven sales forecasting.
  • Experience in organizations undergoing growth, change, or restructuring.

🎯 Resilience & Hands-On Mindset

  • High level of self-motivation, adaptability, and proactive attitude towards business challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and drive growth initiatives independently.

🎯 Language & Mobility

  • Fluent in German (native level) and English (business proficiency).

Willingness to travel regularly to clients and Futurice offices across Germany.
