Main goal

Support the Social & Environmental Sustainability (SES) division in inspiring and accelerating action to protect human rights and the environment within European football. Help us to implement the UEFA Football Sustainability Strategy 2030 and be part of a dynamic team driving positive change in football!

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting and contributing to the day-to-day implementation of environmental sustainability policies through awareness-raising, advocacy and training activities
  • Supporting the development of environmental projects, in particular around the UEFA Carbon Footprint Calculator (data collection, data analysis, audit) and the Event Sustainability Policy (guidance, analysis, dissemination)
  • Providing administrative support to the team (e.g. logistics arrangements, agenda management, budgeting processes, RFP procedures, event preparation, data filing, etc.)
  • Liaising with UEFA stakeholders to coordinate the effective delivery of activities, in particular around the dissemination of environment-focused guidelines, checklists and toolkits
  • Staying informed of emerging trends and best practices relating to the interface between the environment and sport, including tracking, researching and analysing facts and trends for the team
  • Developing tools and guidelines through research and data analysis
  • Distributing invitations and helping with the planning and logistics of meetings of sustainability managers representing different football stakeholders

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

Education:

  • University degree in a relevant subject (e.g. sustainable development, environment, etc.)

Languages:

  • English: Proficient

Other requirements:

  • Environmental background and knowledge of relevant international frameworks and standards
  • Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail in line with guidance and instructions from supervisors
  • Affinity and familiarity with football and sports
  • Motivated and collaborative team player with a strong service orientation
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
  • Excellent knowledge and command of Microsoft Office tools
