Hello you, curious and hands-on person! We are looking for a Data Products Developer to join our Business Intelligence team in Espoo, Finland. You will work on delivering insights on one of the most successful entertainment brands in the world, and enable our thriving game teams to offer even better gaming experiences.
Data at massive scale sits at the heart of everything we do at Rovio, it enables us to improve our games that have millions of daily users. We believe such huge data has value only if it is converted to clear insights. Our Business Intelligence team empowers the teams through insights derived from the data, and places extra importance on the role of data products in delivering these insights.
We believe in transparency, and we care about sharing the insights transparently across Rovio. As a Data Products Developer you will have a key role in central reporting and be responsible for developing high quality data products to support various teams. You will use your technical skills to create visualizations, develop new features for internal BI tools and implement automated solutions to generate insights. You’ll work with analysts, engineers and project teams closely to conceptualize, prototype and finetune solutions.
We aim to make it easier and faster for the teams to make the most of our data, and we expect you to think about your users first. You seek to understand the users’ work, and your design principle is to offer simple yet efficient solutions. We will need your creative thinking skills in telling stories with data.

Implement visualization components and enrich features of internal BI tools
Develop tools to increase efficiency in decision making using your software development toolbox
Create scripts and templates necessary for reusable and automated dashboards or reports
Explore market trends and developments in business intelligence, data science and analytics tools to find technical solutions to business challenges
You have gained 2+ years of experience as software developer or in an equivalent position
SQL is your comfort area and you are familiar with big data technologies (e.g. Spark, Presto)
You are able to collect, process and visualize data using analytical languages and frameworks such as R, Python, Shiny or Bokeh
You enjoy interacting with others, and you can work in a team of experts with different backgrounds
You are a self-starter with a high level of self-direction, motivation and energy
You’re proactive, driven by curiosity, and are not afraid to experiment and learn
You are passionate about visualizing data, and you love games!
