Relationship Manager at Mentimeter

We are looking for a Relationship Manager to join our sales team. As a Relationship Manager, you will lead the expansion of our existing Enterprise customers and tap into new opportunities within our current customer base. You will serve as a trusted adviser, share insights and continually seek opportunities for growth to make your customers as strong and successful as possible.

We expect you to have high energy, an entrepreneurial tempo, and the ability to work closely with our marketing and product colleagues, with a strong focus on business opportunities and sales. We are looking for someone who can create relationships with our customers, who are some of the largest companies in the world.

We use the theory of Predictable Revenue, and reference Dropbox and Slack when we see the future of Mentimeter. Mentimeter is a service that is loved globally and our growth has been almost 100% organic. Sales are currently growing over 10% per month and you will be the driving force to accelerate that growth even further.

Responsibilities for the role:

  • Commercial ownership of our current enterprise customers
  • Build relationships with customers such as Accenture, Unilever and Slack, in more than 120 different countries
  • Expand engagement and contracts with our current enterprise customers
  • Manage a continuous pipeline for new expanding opportunities
  • Ability to assess business opportunities and use data to inform decision-making and persuade others
  • Ownership of renewals of ongoing agreements and minimize churn
  • Set and develop the strategy for best-in-class scalable customer expansion and customer success
  • Seek out opportunities to be a leader and do everything you can to help the company achieve its larger objectives
  • Collaborate with the Product team in terms of being the voice of our customers
  • Ability to travel (~5%)

Responsibilities not included in the role:

  • Roll-out and adoption of our enterprise solution with our customers (Customer Success Managers does that)
  • Closing new customer contracts (Account Executives does that)
  • Day-to-day support (We have minimal support, and a support specialist is responsible for this)

Resources we have to support you:

  • World-class lead-generation from the Marketing and Product teams
  • Marketing and Sales teams to support in analysis and tactics
  • Customer Success Managers to support in driving adoption and usage with the customers
  • Sales Development Representatives to support in lead qualification
  • Professional CRM and data gathering services (Intercom, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Pipedrive etc.)

Skills & Requirements

Must haves for the role:

  • Experience of 1-2+ years with high volume / transactional sales (preferably SaaS), working with a CRM platform
  • Ability to assess business opportunities and use data to make informed decisions and persuade others
  • Passion for building relationships and work with long-term engagements
  • Knowledge of software contract terms and conditions with the ability to create fair transactions
  • Strong negotiation skills and accurate forecasting skills
  • Ability to manage a large number of prospects simultaneously while positioning company products against direct and indirect competitors
  • Sustain success in acquiring new business or customer acquisition
  • You are required to have professional level English - we sell to 100+ countries today
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel (~5%)

Not required

  • You don't have to know Swedish (daily work is carried out in English and the Mentimeter team currently boasts 13 different nationalities!)
