As Chapter Lead at CDON.COM you will get a new challenge in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment. As responsible for people management you will focus on leading, developing and coaching your team members. You will apply your expertise to the tasks at hand and encourage professional and personal development of your chapter members on an ongoing basis through mentoring, coaching and providing constructive feedback, all to create a winning team. Moreover, you will have an active role in retaining and developing the exciting culture at CDON.COM, acting as an ambassador and role model.
Besides your people management responsibility, you will spend approximately half of the time working as a Backend Engineer as a member of a Team. We offer a creative and agile environment with a great degree of freedom within the team. You will be in a cross functional, long living and self-organized team responsible for end-to-end solutions with opportunities to switch projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. You will also be working closely with the product owner and your team members, not only developing features yourself with a devops mindset, but also doing pair programming, code reviews and optimization of the applications for maximum speed and scalability.

It motivates you to on a daily basis practice knowledge sharing, to evolve your own and your chapter member’s technical knowledge, as one of your main responsibilities is to improve technical and organizational ways to work. Moreover, you always strive to attract, recruit and keep suitable developers, creating a comprehensive team.
You keep yourself up-to-date regarding technology and trends and you apply your learnings in specific contexts. You are a passionate crafts(wo)man who always strive to create value and enjoy experimenting with new technology with the goal of improving your skills and applying it to further the business. Furthermore, you feel comfortable participating in architectural discussions regarding web, backend and cloud to develop CDON’s products and services.
