We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Quality Technician. This position reports to the Quality Manager and will work in Pompano Beach, FL.

As Quality Technician of the Pompano Beach, FL team, you will be responsible for material movement to defect warehouse, data entry for scrap and return to vendor, audit, evaluate, inspect and sustain the Company Operating Systems in compliance with ISO standards (9001,14001,45001). This would include collecting supplier information on defects, tracking materials moved in defect warehouse, packing and returning goods, analyzing and reporting data, and maintaining records.

General Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the Quality operating systems in compliance with ISO standards. This includes:
  • Managing outside suppliers – returning shipments
  • RMA files and database
  • Debit memos with returning goods – AP Invoices
  • Supplier defects follow ups (RC/CA – Incoming inspection flags)
  • Incoming inspections (maintain log of results)
  • Defect warehouse inventory (reduction of on hand inventory)
  • Assist in the dispositioning of defects (scrap, rework, use as is)
  • Audits (DMS system, Supplier, Process audits)
  • Communicate with QA / Production team on internal improvement opportunities / actions
  • Conduct data collection activities as required (returns and scrap analysis)
  • Work on process improvement projects with various teams (continuous improvement team member)
  • Work from sketches or final form drawings of product to include: sheet metal, wiring diagrams, wiring harness, assembly procedures, and test procedures.
  • Knowledge of Bill of Materials.
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Participate in MRB (material review board) team and meetings
  • Perform various inspections on new or potential non-conforming parts
  • Participate in the Corrective & Preventive action system management.
  • Conduct audits in safety, process, and Internal ISO system Audits
  • Assist with QA Documentation Control (Records)
  • Assist in evaluation of parts needed to correct defects offered by Purchasing and outside vendors.

Skills & Requirements

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in (operational/engineering/manufacturing/etc.) environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Minimum High School Graduate. Preferrable 2 yr degree with technically trained person
  • Minimum one year factory Quality Management/ISO experience
  • Prefer candidate to be certified ISO Internal Auditor
  • Prefer candidate to be CQT (Certified Quality Technician)
  • Microsoft Office a must – Word, Excel, PPT, Internet and e-mail
  • Strong clear communication skills - speaks with suppliers on phone calls often
  • Must be fluent in English speech, writing and reading
  • Strong ability to read and interpret
