Tax Accounting Specialist - Senior Manager - Tax Transformation Team

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accounting Specialist to join our Tax Transformation team. You will leverage the great work done by the rest of KPMG, supporting clients in implementing innovative tax solutions, navigating complex regulations, identifying critical data needs, and resolving data gaps. You will be instrumental in expanding our practice, generating leads, and demonstrating the value of our services to both colleagues and clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and support clients through the implementation of tax transformation processes, ensuring compliance and addressing complex tax challenges e.g. OECD Pillar 2, Public CbCR, Tax Administration 3.0.
  • Collaborate closely with clients’ finance and tax departments, as well as KPMG specialists globally, to understand regulations, defined data needs, address data gaps and implement analytics and automation solutions.
  • Understand and analyse organizations' financial and tax compliance processes, making complex laws actionable for clients and providing innovative solutions.
  • Build and maintain robust client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering tailored tax transformation strategies.
  • Drive business development initiatives by identifying, leveraging existing client relationships and pursuing new opportunities and communicate the value of our tax transformation services effectively to colleagues and clients.
  • Stay informed on the latest tax regulations and industry trends to provide innovative solutions that clients are eager to implement, enhancing the client experience and contributing to the growth and expansion of our tax transformation team.

Skills & Requirements

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a similar discipline is required. Holding a professional certification such as CPA, CA, or an equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Over 6 years of hands-on experience as an accountant, consultant, or related role in a large consulting firm (like the Big Four) or within large multinational corporations. In-house corporate tax or finance department experience is preferred.
  • Extensive accounting experience with a preference for knowledge of tax regulations.
  • Extensive understanding of financial and tax compliance processes.
  • Extensive understanding of accounting and consolidated reporting standards used by major Swedish corporations.
  • Experience in managing projects with various stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills and a good understanding of finance, accounting systems, and financial data.
  • Desire to drive digital transformation within finance and tax.
  • Curiosity and willingness to question existing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both Swedish and English.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
