About the position

Dometic is a global market leader in the mobile living industry. Millions of people around the world use Dometic products in outdoor, residential, and professional applications. We are on a growth journey – now looking for a Product Manager for HVAC field.

The Product Manager in LVE is responsible for ensuring a sellable product assortment within LVE that complies with Dometic Group Guidelines for the finished goods (FG) and accessories (AC). They define the product strategy together with major key stakeholders, such as PD, Sales, Marketing, etc. to ensure a profitable growth in their respective ownership of a certain product portfolio.

Your main responsibilities

  • Market intelligence: Liaise with sales and customers, analyze competitors, research new trends, visit trade fairs, network with associations, and identify partnering opportunities or acquisitions for complementary products.
  • Product Launch, Marketing, Distribution: Grow business with new product launches, supervise product profitability, secure price positioning together with Division Heads, secure distribution strategy together with Division Heads, and support Marketing for further projects & activities.
  • Product trainings :Train internal sales teams and support special customer events.
  • Innovation Focus: on innovation as a key element for aggressive top-line growth and increasing bottom-line results. This includes improved quality, creation of new markets, extension of the product range, reduced labor costs, improved production processes, reduced materials cost, reduced environmental damage, replacement of products/services, reduced energy consumption, and conformance to regulation
  • Human resources & Leadership :ensure the global HR cycle for your own team members, lead the team towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals, develop business strategies to ensure long-term success
  • Budget: Secure a clear forecast for next year‘s budget for their product area; qualified project roadmap
  • Reporting: Direct report to Head of Product Management on product area strategies, projects and issues; monthly Top-Launch Report LVE and Innovation Index with Business Process Manager LVE
  • Long-term strategic Product-Lifecyle-Management (PLM): product generation plan, definition of specific product targets (sustainability, technology footprint, etc.)

Skills & Requirements

A suitable background would be the following in terms of qualifications and experiences:

  • Solid academic education in Business, Marketing, Engineering
  • Previous Experience in the fields of Product Management, Business Development, Sales, Project Management.
  • Business fluent in English AND in German
  • Experience in working with Microsoft O365 tools, PIM & ERP systems, Project Management Tools (e.g. Antura, Wrike)
  • Experience in working in an international set-up
