Job Title: Mobile Security Guard

Reporting To: UK Environmental Manager

Shift: Night Shift 4 on x 4 off

Location: Lantmännen Unibake covering site in Milton Keynes and Bedford

We are seeking a dedicated Security Guard to provide night-time security for our two sites located in Milton Keynes and Bedford. This is a mobile role that requires traveling between the two locations during the shift. The Security Guard will be responsible for patrolling both sites throughout the night, ensuring the safety and security of our premises.

Skills & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

As a Mobile Security Guard, you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections across two locations in Milton Keynes and Bedford as per management instructions.
  • Operate and monitor all security systems, including CCTV, in a professional manner, ensuring compliance with operating procedures, legislation, and codes of practice.
  • Perform lock and unlock duties remotely or on-site as required, ensuring all vehicles and personnel are logged in accordance with food security procedures.
  • Provide an efficient, courteous telephone answering service, handling enquiries and recording absence logs while respecting employee privacy.
  • Greet visitors, enforce security protocols, and maintain accurate records of all incidents, ensuring clarity and attention to detail.
  • Support health and safety policies, including adherence to evacuation and crisis management procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards within the security gatehouse and monitor utility meters, reporting data as needed.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in SIA-licensed operations, including frontline and CCTV monitoring roles.
  • Proven compliance with vetting processes, with a verifiable history extending back 5 years.
  • Skilled in using Time & Attendance recording systems and live CCTV operations.
  • Driving license and practical experience driving electric vehicles with a focus on sustainable transportation solutions.
  • A dependable team player with a professional appearance, self-motivation, and the ability to manage priorities under pressure.

Shift Pattern

Work Pattern: Night shifts on a 4-on, 4-off rotational basis (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), totalling 42 hours per week.

Job Environment: Mobile role requiring regular travel between Milton Keynes and Bedford using a company-provided vehicle. Flexibility is essential to provide coverage across multiple sites as needed.

Pay Rates

£14.46 per hour

£31,585.08 annual notional salary
