Job Description

Are you a data-driven number cruncher ready to join a fast-growing renewable energy player driving the global energy transition?

Key responsibilities

As a Portfolio Analyst at Korkia, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of Korkia’s renewable energy projects. The role combines financial analysis and modeling, forecasting, and portfolio management, contributing to the successful development and exit of Korkia’s pipeline of solar, energy storage and wind power plant projects. You will collaborate closely with internal Finance, Transaction, and Growth & Development teams, as well as external partners, to provide data-driven insights that support decision-making and value creation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Business Case Analysis: Partnering with business owners to optimize joint venture exit scenarios, balancing stakeholder interests.
  • Financial Modeling: Taking ownership of asset-level project finance models and ensuring data quality, guiding valuations and profitability analyses.
  • Portfolio Insight: Analyzing market and business data to support forecasting, strategy, and decision-making processes.
  • Tool & Process Development: Collaborating with the team, you will develop internal tools and processes to support scalable growth and improve data management practices.

What makes you a great fit?

The person we are looking for has a passion for numbers, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience in financial modeling, forecasting, valuation, and performance analysis. You are a great team player with a proactive and dynamic mindset. You thrive in a fast-paced, global and high-growth work environment and easily manage multiple priorities. This means you have excellent problem-solving abilities and a data-driven mindset. While not essential, familiarity with the energy sector is considered an advantage for this role.

Korkia is looking for:

  • A relevant higher education degree (e.g., industrial engineering and management, business, or a technical field).
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills, including macros, VBA, and familiarity with Power BI and Power Apps.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude for collaboration in a dynamic environment.
  • Full working proficiency in English; Finnish skills are a strong advantage.

Korkia offers you:

  • Purpose-Driven Team: Join a team dedicated to accelerating the energy transition, proud to deliver renewable megawatts to the market on a large scale.
  • Global Portfolio: Be part of an international business with 130+ solar, BESS, and wind projects in development across 9 countries, including Finland, the UK, and Canada.
  • Meaningful Work: Contribute to a project pipeline with 14 GW of renewable capacity and 6 GW of energy storage, driving a sustainable future.
  • Supportive Culture: Work in a flexible, inclusive, and close-knit environment where you can be yourself and grow alongside a team that values balance.

Practicalities:

This is a full-time and permanent position, and the ideal starting time is as soon as possible. You will be employed directly by Korkia. Their office is located in Helsinki, we hope you can work in the office a few days per week as part of a hybrid model. Salary in this position is around 4000-5000 €/month (gross depending on the level of your experience, and will be negotiated individually).
