Security Engineer

As a Security Engineer at Northvolt, your primary responsibility is to build and maintain the systems relating to the Cyber Defence Centre as well as safeguarding the organization's digital assets, infrastructure against cyber threats. You will play a key role in the operational security as well as continuously enhancing the capabilities of the organization by e.g. Automation, Procedures, Onboarding and understanding data sources among other things.
Key responsibilities
Overall areas of responsibility and activities.
- Perform Security Engineering tasks (build, maintain and further develop) in Azure (Sentinel), Microsoft 365, AWS and any other solutions managed by Northvolt.
- Proactively work towards continual improvements of security processes, tools and routines.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware.
- Monitor systems for irregular behaviour, set up preventive measures and use-cases.
- Develop, execute, and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure, devices, and systems.
- Define and continuously improve the way of working based on the cybersecurity architecture and the needs of the organization.
- Support the different disciplines within the Cyber Defence Centre (and extended Security team) in creating/enhancing capabilities and workflows.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
- +5 years or more years’ work experience as a Security Engineer or related position.
- Experience in Security monitoring and incident response handling, cyber threat mitigation using SIEM tools and Cloud Security Engineering.
- Experience in threat intelligence, threat hunting, vulnerability scanning, and support for internal investigations.
- Proven experience developing, operating and maintaining cyber security systems preferably within the aforementioned Cloud Services.
Specific skills:
- Experience regarding identity and access management principles.
- Experience of security systems including anti-virus applications, content filtering, firewalls, authentication systems and intrusion detection and notification systems is a plus.
- Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Experience and interest in OT-security and in manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Relevant security certifications like CCNP, GIAC, SCA, CISSP is a plus.Relevant security certifications like CCNP, GIAC, SCA, CISSP is a plus.
