Head of Engineering & Projects

We are seeking an established engineering leader to drive UK engineering standards, utilities, automation, capital projects, and engineering operational excellence. This newly created, senior engineering leadership role will be pivotal in advancing multi-million and BAU engineering projects across multi-site factories, ensuring excellence in electrical & controls standards, and factory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Strategy: Shape and implement the engineering strategy to drive operational excellence.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage capital projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Factory Services Leadership: Enhance the effectiveness of utilities, optimise processes, and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Engineering Compliance: Champion engineering compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, cross functional working and professional growth within the engineering team.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop, implement, and maintain an effective engineering strategy.
  • Advisory Role: Serve as a trusted advisor to the UK Operations Director, Site Engineering Managers, and the UK site leadership teams.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in engineering & project management.
  • Expertise in electrical and controls standards.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent strategic planning and execution capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance in engineering.
