HIL Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Test Engineer to join our team and contribute to delivering cutting-edge solutions for our customers' testing environments. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of our products through rigorous testing under varied operating conditions.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity located in the capital area in Finland. The candidate we are looking for is based in the Helsinki metropolitan area and authorized to work in Finland as you need to able to mainly work on-site at our Vantaa, Espoo or Hyvinkää offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and define features and system architecture for HIL rigs using leading commercial HIL test software and platforms.
  • Develop comprehensive HIL test cases and specifications aligned with project requirements.
  • Enhance test coverage to address software functional safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regression tests, identify and document bugs, and provide debugging support to the development team.
  • Upgrade, maintain, and optimize HIL test stations and related laboratory equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in product functional testing and development, with a strong focus on HIL testing.
  • Hands-on experience with HIL systems such as Typhoon HIL, Speedgoat, Plexim, or National Instruments (NI).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C and Python.
  • Solid understanding of power electrical circuit concepts and the ability to interpret basic schematics.
  • Familiarity with testing and quality assurance methodologies, including experience with requirement management and issue-tracking tools such as JIRA and Polarion.

You bring with you excellent collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including software developers, test engineers, and system architects. Your English is fluent – Finnish skills are not mandatory but an advantage.
