Skills & Requirements

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations: Complete the operational plan for your designated department efficiently and effectively.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and escalate any production issues to the Team Leader promptly.
  • Safety First: Adhere to health and safety, food safety, and personal hygiene standards in compliance with legal and company regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks and complete accurate paperwork on time.
  • Equipment Handling: Operate machinery and equipment (training provided).
  • Housekeeping: Maintain clean and organised workspaces by following ‘clean as you go’ principles.
  • Flexibility: Be ready to assist in different areas of the factory when needed.
  • Professionalism: Represent the company’s high standards through a positive and professional attitude.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Knowledge & Experience:

    • Basic understanding of food manufacturing practices.
    • Awareness of health and safety principles in a production environment.
    • Previous experience in a production role (ideally in food manufacturing).

Skills & Qualities:

    • Attention to detail, especially when completing repetitive tasks or handling technical demands.
    • A proactive, flexible attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
    • Strong communication skills to support a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Shift Pattern

  • Operate on a continental shift pattern with 7 days off every 14 days.
  • Work 2 weeks on day shifts followed by 2 weeks on night shifts, offering consistency and a predictable routine.
  • 12-hour shifts covering weekdays and weekends.
  • Rotating Schedule:
    • 4 days on, 3 days off.
    • 3 days on, 4 days off.
  • You’ll receive a full calendar year rota in advance, ensuring clear planning for work and personal time.

Pay Rates

  • Day Shift: Starting from £12.00 per hour.
  • Night Shift: Starting from £15.00 per hour.
  • Overtime: Earn an impressive £18.00 per hour.
  • Weekly Pay: On average, you’ll work 40.25 hours per week, ensuring consistent and reliable earnings.
