The role
You will be working in a central part of Vipps MobilePay where the focus is creating a world-class experience for both our merchants and the teams within Vipps MobilePay who work with merchants.
Decisions are made in cross-functional teams, as close to the problem as possible. Your workday will never be boring, and we have built our culture on trust to ensure flexibility and a strong work-life balance.
Our team operates as a "startup" within VippsMobilepay, we iterate quickly and develop greenfield solutions from scratch. Using our treasure trove of data generated from 1.1 billion transactions we solve real and tangible problems for our merchants.
You will help us create new and improve existing machine learning models. Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop the models that solve their problems. You will work closely with the engineers to help design the model and the architecture around it so it integrates smoothly with VippsMobilepay´s systems and automates most of the machine learning life-cycle.

- are passionate yet pragmatic about your code, you know when to strive for perfection and when good is good enough.
- stay curious and inquisitive; you like poking at things to figure out how they work and don´t hesitate to reach out to other teams to find what you need.
- enjoy working in a team, writing code with your fellow team members in mind and strive to learn from everyone around you.
- have at least 2 years of proven hands-on experience with developing Machine Learning models.
- have strong proficiency in Python with extensive knowledge of key Python packages for Data Science and Machine Learning, including Pandas, Sklearn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow
- are familiar with infrastructure provisioning, data versioning, anonymisation techniques for GDPR.
- have experience with Databricks and MLFlow that´s a plus.
