As Finance Controller APAC at our Tokyo Office you will

be the primary responsible for a select set of international legal entities within the Group working with accounting and financial reporting. We are looking for someone with experience of qualified accounting, preferably within retail and/or e-commerce. The role includes international contacts both internally and externally, with suppliers, audit and advisor/accounting firms involved in our subsidiaries.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will report to Head of Global Accounting, and will play a vital role in

• Direct responsibility for the day-to-day accounting i.e. general ledger entries, internal and external support, closing and reporting for selected legal entities
• Manage, support and control external accounting partners for selected legal entities
• Making sure Acne Studios’ accounting and reporting policies are followed
• Preparing internal monthly and yearly reports and analyses as well as assist the auditors
• Improving the internal monthly reporting process and policies
• VAT and other statutory reporting
• Supporting the Head of Global Accounting and CFO regarding ad hoc analyses and proactive work to continually develop our processes and systems

Specific experience and knowledge for this role:

• At least bachelor’s degree in business administration/finance, majoring in accounting
• At least 5 years of professional experience as an Accountant/Financial Controller, preferably in an international context
• Fluency in English is required
• Proficient knowledge in Excel
• Experience from the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or D365 is a merit as well as previous retail and/or e-commerce experience
