Product Safety Engineer

We are seeking for an engineer to work as a Product Safety engineer/Specialist to strengthen our product verification services in Jyväskylä. In Etteplan Test Laboratory you will work with a wide variety of products and have the support of our extensive network of experts. This is the job, in which you can learn and see all kind of new products and technologies. Role can be aligned according to your experience to be a safety test engineer or -specialist.
In this role you will be working directly with customers, so we expect you to have customer-oriented approach and internal drive to keep schedules. We assume you to have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or similar suitable area. Fluent language skills in written and spoken Finnish and English are required. Documentation language is English. A proactive attitude towards work is a must.
Your primary responsibilities will include
- Product safety testing, design reviews & reporting
- Development of testing procedures and test equipment
- Laboratory test systems maintenance and calibrations
We also appreciate
- Excellent skills in multitasking and tolerance to intermittent stress
- Experience in electronics design and/or testing
- Understanding of different failure mechanisms related to the electrical components
- Understanding of the manufacturing methods and possible issues product may face there
- Expertise in statistical methods to analyze test results
- Ability to get things finalized
- ability to prioritize daily tasks
- ability to work independently
- Depending on your background and interests your job may include environmental condition testing and reporting.
