Job Description

Join our Team as a Product Owner: Shape the future of innovative Solutions!

We are a growing, flexible and friendly fintech company where your contributions will truly matter. We are on a journey to expand our platform offerings outside of the Nordics, and we need you to do it! Helping define the roadmap, the functionality and the market approach, you will grow in your understanding of the financial market as well as the fintech landscape, in Europe and beyond.

What you will be doing

As a Product Owner, you'll collaborate closely with the Senior Product Owner for Loan and the rest of the Product team, internal and external business stakeholders, Customer Success Managers, engineers and perhaps especially customers to plan, spec, prioritise, and deliver functionality that makes a difference to all involved.

The Product Owner is the bridge that connect the those that need with those that build, and you will supply the vision, the platform-thinking, the cross-fertilisation and the compliance awareness that makes our platform continue to grow and scale to new markets, customer groups and businesses while still staying on a single codebase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expertise: you understand loans, how they are packaged, originated, invoiced and serviced. From high-volume, low ticket consumer loans without collateral to complex structured loans with multiple collaterals. Bonus points if you also have experience with leasing and/or mortgage processes. Even more bonus points if you think accounting is the best thing since sliced bread.
  • Technical mindset and platform thinking: you are structured and organised and can see how multiple customer requirements can be resolved with one joint solution, or how special cases can be generalised into platform capabilities.
  • Good planner: together with the senior PO you will help the engineering team prioritise and plan each sprint, selecting the areas and stories that makes the most sense in current circumstances, ensuring that they are mature enough to start development.
  • Strong communicator: You easily express your ideas and your designs to customers and engineers alike, communicating not just what needs to be done but also conveying a sense of why it should be so.
  • Strong collaborator: You have experience working closely in a team of engineers and product managers to oversee the implementation of designs, ensuring a seamless and high-quality product experience.

Note that this is a hybrid position, so you will be expected to regularly be in the Stockholm office (our normal rotation calls for three days a week). As we are a scale-up company looking to extend outside the Nordics, you may be asked to participate in sales processes in other locations and if you are interested in travel there is likely opportunity to be stationed in one of our new locations after having learned the ropes.

Skills & Requirements

Who you are

  • Experience: You have perhaps worked in a fintech business or with loan processing and servicing - finance experience or training will make you the perfect candidate
  • Education: Having a technical or systems-oriented background helps when managing requirements for a SaaS platform, but is not an absolute must if you have other experiences that you can bring to bear.
  • Tools: Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence etc.) helps, as does experience with Figma for visual design. You have good Microsoft Office skills and feel at home doing a business case in Excel, a customer presentation in Powerpoint or an RFP response in Word.
  • Languages: English is a must. We're a global company and English is our default company language and also spoken in several of our new makets. Swedish fluency is a strong bonus, as most current customers are in the Nordics and you will interact heavily with customers.
