Main goal

Are you passionate about delivering great audiovisual experiences? Do you like to work on various projects and events? Joining UEFA as an Audiovisual Event Specialist will give you the opportunity to work on live, hybrid and virtual events, as well as managing projects and providers and upskilling your audiovisual and videoconferencing experience.

Key responsibilities

Event preparation and technical setup:

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to determine specific AV needs, documenting requirements for each event
  • Supporting the design and layout of technical set-ups, including cameras, audio, interpreting, lighting, video systems and other aspects of videoconferencing for approval by the person in charge of the event
  • Undertaking a request for proposals (RFP) process to find an appropriate supplier

Event support on-site and abroad

  • Travelling to various UEFA events across Europe to provide on-site technical support
  • Acting as the primary videoconferencing operator during UEFA events, managing video switching, audio coordination and live streaming to ensure flawless event delivery
  • Quickly resolving technical issues and adjusting configurations on the fly to adapt to real-time needs
  • Managing equipment logistics and the supplier's on-site crew

Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting AV equipment used for event-based videoconferencing, including high-definition cameras, digital audio boards and teleprompter systems
  • Performing routine checks and managing equipment inventory to ensure the reliability of the equipment provided for and used at events

Quality control and monitoring

  • Monitoring live videoconference feeds, proactively adjusting settings to maintain high-quality audio and video
  • Helping to ensure that UEFA’s standards for visual and audio output are met during high-profile events

Pre/post-event processing and documentation

  • Assisting in recording, editing and exporting event content for distribution as needed
  • Documenting event set-ups, technical issues and operational insights with a view to making improvements for future events

Vendor and stakeholder coordination

  • Working closely with the ICT Videoconferencing Manager to liaise with vendors concerning equipment rental, support and set-up
  • Helping to align vendor resources with UEFA’s event requirements

    Skills & Requirements

    Requirements

    Experience:
    - At least 3 years of experience in event-based AV or videoconferencing support, ideally within a live production or hybrid environment
    - 1 to 3 years experience of planning, organising and managing events or projects

    Education:
    - Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in audiovisual production (with a strong preference for audio), multimedia, ICT or a related field.

    Languages:
    - English: Advanced

    Other requirements:
    - Expertise in event videoconferencing and audiovisual systems, including camera operations, lighting, audio equipment and video-switching platforms
    - Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
    - Available to regularly travel
    - Good communication and interpersonal skills
    - Familiariry with Adobe and Sketchup is an asset
