Main goal

Ensure a smooth journey for media stakeholders (press, photographers, video journalists and radio or TV non-rights-holders) from their registration in the UEFA Media Channel, through validation, accreditation and match-booking requests to on-site attendance.

Key responsibilities

  • Overseeing the registration of bona fide representatives of the press, photographers, video journalists and radio or TV non-rights-holders in the UEFA Media Channel and UEFA Media Portal
  • Ensuring an efficient media accreditation and match-booking application process, in close liaison with UEFA's ICT service
  • Establishing documentation and standard operational processes that will be used by our counterparts, such as press officers, on-site and off-site staff, media representatives, etc.
  • Coordinating the event-specific access needs of media stakeholders with other UEFA projects, such as the accreditation and access teams
  • Coordinating the approval and rejection of media requests with UEFA's communications unit as well as other internal and external stakeholders
  • Answering the emails received from media representatives in a professional and client-centric manner
  • Assisting with the on-site delivery of media operations and services as required (club and national team finals, final tournaments, draws, etc.)
  • Applying the latest ICT developments to media attendance management processes

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

Experience:

  • From 1 to 3 years' experience working in an international organisation
  • From 1 to 3 years' experience in an event management environment where serving clients with high expectations is key
  • Less than year of venue management in football or another sport

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in media, business management or sports/event management

Languages:

  • English: Proficient
  • Any other languages would be an asset

Other requirements:

  • MS Office: Advanced
  • Good writing skills, including the ability to draft policies, guidelines and workflows
  • Knowledge of and interest in the sports media landscape in general, and particularly in football
  • Ability to provide outstanding results under pressure
  • Attention to detail combined with an ability to see the big picture
  • The ability to work independently, reliably and precisely and respecting confidentiality and multicultural concerns
  • Resilience, drive, energy, diplomacy, charisma and a positive outlook
