About the Role
Dometic is on the hunt for an ambitious, results-driven Sales Manager to lead and expand our marine sales business across New Zealand. This role will be key in driving sales growth through a variety of B2B channels, including distributors, OEMs, and the Aftermarket (AM) sales network. You will spearhead efforts to grow Dometic’s brand presence in New Zealand, focusing on our Outdoor family of marine products, while supporting and expanding existing distribution relationships and dealer networks.
As the Sales Manager you will develop and execute sales strategies, build a high-performance sales team, and ensure that your efforts align with global sales targets and business goals.
Your role will also involve regular travel within New Zealand and occasional international travel to attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and dealers, ensuring satisfaction and identifying growth opportunities.
Sales Growth Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales across all marine product categories, leveraging the full potential of our product portfolio and market reach.
Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies and capitalize on new opportunities.
Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead a high-performing sales team in line with business growth goals. Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure that the team is aligned with Dometic’s sales objectives.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Accurately forecast sales performance by product group and customer, ensuring that expectations are met or exceeded. Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity.
Product Knowledge & Training: Work closely with Product Managers to ensure the effective execution of training plans for internal teams and customers, ensuring strong product knowledge across the dealer network.
National and International Travel: Regular travel across New Zealand for customer meetings, trade shows, conferences, and other relevant events. Occasional international travel may also be required.
