Skills & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Quality Compliance: Uphold Health & Safety, Quality, and Food Safety standards across the production line, ensuring our processes meet site policies and high safety benchmarks.
- Team Leadership: Lead by example, guiding your team with our values, ensuring their adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, and facilitating a positive, supportive work environment.
- Operational Excellence: Manage daily production activities, coordinate with Engineering and Hygiene teams, and oversee material availability, machine changeovers, and compliance with safety protocols.
- Continuous Improvement: Engage in LEAN projects, support multi-skilling initiatives, and work closely with Health & Safety and Technical teams to improve processes and resolve issues.
- Communication and Training: Conduct team briefings, oversee training activities, and communicate updates to ensure alignment on key company messages and initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: Level 2 CIEH Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing (Level 3 preferred), IOSH Managing Safely, First Aid/Fire Warden certification (desirable), and familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles.
- Skills and Experience: Previous experience in team leadership within food manufacturing, strong communication skills, basic IT skills, and understanding of continuous improvement techniques.
- Personal Attributes: High safety, quality, and customer focus, with a can-do attitude, strong time management skills, and a positive approach under pressure.
Shift Pattern:
You will be working 12-hour shifts, rotating between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM and 6:00PM -6:00AM
• Week 1 & 3: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (4 days on, 3 days off).
• Week 2 & 4: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (3 days on, 4 days off).
You will be provided with yearly shift pattern.
Salary:
£13.26 – day shift rate
£16.58 – night shift rate
£19.89 – overtime rate
