In this position, your main area of responsibility will be to refine our processes, ensuring they are not only aligned with design requirements, but also optimized for high-volume production. By communicating critical improvements in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testing (DFT), you will influence how products evolve from prototypes to full-scale production.

Further responsibilities include:

Industrialization:

  • Communicating potential improvements in terms of DFM and DFT to the design team.
  • Conducting Process Development for serial manufacturing, ensuring compliance of the processes with design requirements and intentions as well as ensuring product and process quality.
  • Using the prototyping documentation to create input for the ME team.
  • Closely collaborate with ME department to industrialize the prototyping processes and tools.
  • Identifying the need for equipment for testing and manufacturing as well as potential safety improvements, applying for internal processes, and advising the production team.
  • Prodviding training to the production personnel and acting as authority with production issues.

Development and Prototyping:

  • Process development and documentation. For both general and project specific processes.
  • Contributing to the design of the HV components by creating inputs and suggestions to the design team with learned lessons and process development in mind.
  • Driving and participating hands-on prototyping activities of HV components including batteries, inverters, and more.
  • Collaborating with the prototype and production personnel
  • Monitoring the stock and coordinating the picking orders of the BoM items
  • Tracking and documenting the statistics of the processes to communicate with the stakeholders for improvements.

Skills & Requirements

About you

We are looking for an individual who can combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills, as the position requires close collaboration, attention to detail and problem-solving in dynamic environments.

The skills we are looking for:

  • Technical Knowledge within Manufacturing Engineering
  • Proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testing (DFT), with experience in serial manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and process optimization.
  • Process Development and Hands-On Skills
  • Ability to participate directly in prototyping activities, especially with high-voltage components like batteries and inverters, and experience in building fixtures or specialized tools for prototypes.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting

Experience in tracking metrics, analyzing failure rates, cycle times, and other data to improve manufacturing efficiency and communicate these insights effectively to the team.
