Main goal

Join UEFA’s dynamic ICT Infrastructure team as the ICT Technical Lead, where you’ll collaborate with top technical partners and cross-functional teams to design and implement strategic ICT solutions across UEFA’s campus and major events. Reporting to the ICT Technical Solutions Manager, you’ll drive projects that support UEFA’s world-class operations, blending technical expertise with project management skills to ensure smooth, professional and cost-effective solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact UEFA’s global initiatives directly from our headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

Key responsibilities

  • Understanding UEFA's business objectives and requirements and determining the appropriate technical solutions
  • Managing various projects relating to the UEFA campus and UEFA events
  • Supporting the writing of documents in technical and business terms, including descriptions and drawings or maps as appropriate
  • Liaising with the ICT Technical Solutions Manager and UEFA's technical partner to ensure that the most suitable project and technical resources are allocated to projects, while respecting delivery timelines
  • Working to continually improve UEFA's technical service by flagging up recurring issues, identifying and addressing root causes, managing the definition and review of appropriate metrics and KPIs, monitoring trends, and helping technical teams to develop their competencies
  • Supporting the ICT Technical Solutions Manager on daily tasks relating to UEFA competitions and the UEFA headquarters
  • Participating in technical site visits to prepare for events
  • Providing on-site support for ICT partners if an incident arises

Skills & Requirements

Experience:

  • 6-8 years of experience developing network infrastructure domain supporting services
  • Previous successful delivery in line with standard operational metrics and the constraints of a service level agreement

    Languages:

    • English: Proficient
    • French: Intermediate
    • Any other language would be an asset

    Other requirements:

    • Good familiarity with networking and IP transport
    • Proven organisational, project management, problem-solving, communication and analytical skills
    • Agility and an excellent capacity to collaborate and engage with customers
    • Network certification (e.g. CCNP Routing and Switching) would be a plus
