We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Quality Engineer. This position reports to the Quality Manager and will work in Limerick, PA location. Dometic Marine’s facility in Limerick, PA develops and manufactures mechanical steering control systems along with shift and throttle cables.

As Quality Engineer of the Limerick, PA team, you will be involved in the overall responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of plant quality systems including ISO 9001:2008 procedures, APQP activities, lean manufacturing activities, supplier quality development and continuous improvement activities

General Responsibilities

  • Perform adequacy reviews for flow down of QA requirements affecting processes.
  • Assist in defining/developing Quality Program, performance measurements and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in development of quality system processes, i.e., records management and document control, control of electronic data, etc.
  • Assist in Quality System Management Review.
  • Participate in new/update existing Quality Plans.
  • Provide input for design-for-quality issues.
  • Perform internal audits to assess compliance to ISO Standards and internal Quality System, including investigation, identifying observations and findings, and reporting.
  • Monitor and/or perform quality activities to support First Article Inspection.
  • Review and approve work instructions, inspection documents.
  • Review procurements documents for flow down and inclusion of quality requirements.
  • Coordinate supplier deviation request process.
  • Perform vendor audits and qualifications.
  • Provide direction in implementing Inspection plans, Receipt Inspection, Witness/Hold Points, In-Process and Final Product Inspection, Sampling Plans, inspection and acceptance criteria.
  • Support Customer Service to ensure fulfillment of customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and participates in investigations regarding customer complaints.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Operations to Identify and resolve production and quality system deficiencies.
  • Investigate product quality problems, determine root cause, gather and analyze data and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate cause.
  • Verify M&TE database entries for correct input of identification and calibration data.

Skills & Requirements

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in Quality environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:

  • ASQ Certification.
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience as Quality Engineer.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work professionally and diplomatically with a variety of internal and external customers.
  • Highly motivated and able to build close relationships with customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take a systematic approach to daily operations
  • Experience working with ISO quality standards
