We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Plant Manager. This position reports to the Director of Operations and will work in Pompano Beach, FL.

As Plant Manager of the Pompano team, you will be involved in the day-to-day activities of our marine air-conditioning manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with a focus on improving safety, efficiency, productivity, and quality control in a manufacturing environment.

General Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Operations in developing and implementing operations strategies and processes.
  • Oversee the production workflow to ensure that manufacturing processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, change management, or shipping.
  • Manage and lead a team of supervisors, managers, and workers, providing training and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance production capabilities.
  • Prepare and manage operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Skills & Requirements

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in an operational and manufacturing environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an operational leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferable in the HVAC/R industry.
  • Experience in High-Mix Low-Volume Manufacturing (HMLV).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in the use and understanding of ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
