We are looking for Senior Backend Engineers for our Growth domain.

The Growth domain at Epidemic Sound focuses on enhancing user engagement through our Subscription Experience and Payments teams. The Subscription Experience team develops backend solutions for A/B testing and experimentation, while the Payments team ensures secure transaction flows. In this role, you will be essential in optimizing backend systems for either payments or subscriptions, building scalable microservices and APIs that enhance user experience. Collaboration with frontend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders will drive feature implementation and improve backend processes for seamless integration.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain high-performance backend systems, focusing on subscription and payment services.
• Design and implement REST APIs and microservices using Kotlin and Ktor, optimized for scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and data teams to deliver cohesive and impactful solutions.
• Champion best practices in CI/CD, DevOps, and testing, leveraging Kubernetes, GCP, and other tools to ensure robust deployment pipelines.
• Drive experimentation through A/B testing and other growth-oriented methods to iteratively improve user engagement.

Who You Are

• You have 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong expertise in backend development using Kotlin and Ktor.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, particularly Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform
