We’re seeking an ambitious Project Manager in Germany to oversee the end-to-end delivery of hydrogen production facilities, with a strong focus on project execution and operational excellence.

As green hydrogen becomes a crucial energy source for heavy industries, particularly with the European Renewable Energy Directive (RED III) aiming for 40% renewable energy use by 2030, VoltH2 is scaling up. Since 2020, we’ve been developing multiple production sites across Germany and the Netherlands. To support our growth in Germany, we are looking for a Project Manager with hands-on experience in delivering complex energy infrastructure projects to drive this transition.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of green hydrogen plant development, from initial planning through construction and commissioning to successful execution.-Manage day-to-day operations, including permitting processes and utility connections (electricity, hydrogen, water).
  • Work closely with key stakeholders such as suppliers, grid operators, local authorities, landowners, and hydrogen off-takers.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, monitor progress, and report on project timelines, budgets, and risks.
  • Navigate German subsidy regulations to secure project funding.
  • Collaborate with contractors and joint venture partners to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Report directly to the Country Manager and Operations Director.

Skills & Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Proven track record in managing and delivering complex energy infrastructure projects, ideally in a renewable energy environment or gas processing.
  • Operational experience in project implementation, particularly in Germany.
  • A master’s degree (or equivalent) in a technical or business discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, green fuels (hydrogen, Power-to-X), and project management best practices.
  • Fluency in both German and English (spoken and written).
