Main goal

The Social Media Project Specialist supports the delivery of partner content and UEFA messaging across some of the most popular and engaging platforms in sport, while serving UEFA's commercial and organisational needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Helping to implement UEFA’s global social media strategy by collaborating with UEFA stakeholders to deliver engaging and fan-focused organic content across platforms
  • Contributing to briefs and leading projects from conception to delivery against pre-determined KPIs, including ensuring the necessary social media resources for content delivery at a variety of matches, tournaments and other events, taking advantage of exclusive UEFA access and assets
  • Working closely with UEFA’s editorial agency and video, photography and design teams to ensure consistent storytelling and optimisation of all content for every platform
  • Being a lead contact for UEFA’s commercial agencies, which represent top-tier sponsors, and supporting them with all deliverables
  • Supporting UEFA’s communications and marketing promotions teams with their promotional plans, being involved in regular meetings and feedback sessions and providing expertise to ensure they achieve their goals
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with clubs, national associations, social media platforms, external editorial agencies and other key stakeholders
  • Contributing to continuous improvements in the performance of social media content through social insights, best practices and offering expertise and ideas to drive things forward
  • Working across multiple digital content projects, including workshops, presentations, referral programmes and long-term planning

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

Experience:

  • From 4 to 6 years' experience working on social media accounts with large and passionate fan bases, preferably within the sports industry

Education:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in marketing or any relevant field

Languages:

  • English / proficient

Additional requirements:

  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Proficient in project management
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms, both established and emerging, and analytics tools
  • Knowledge of the digital industry, social media trends and how developing technologies can be used to meet business objectives
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and presentation skills, with an ability to prioritise, manage and meet deadlines
  • Open-minded, flexible and able to deal with people effectively at all levels, both within the organisation and externally
  • Solid understanding of European football and the positioning of UEFA competitions
  • Willingness to travel
