Main goal
The Event Coordinator works within a small team under the Event Manager, helping to organise and deliver UEFA's corporate events, including congresses, live competition draws, and VIP social functions. This position handles tasks such as project management, venue logistics, budgeting, and scheduling, while collaborating with in-house specialists in areas like branding, technical services, and broadcasting.
The scope of events includes major UEFA draws, the UEFA EURO 2028 draw, the Ballon d'Or, and various VIP events. Responsibilities vary based on event complexity, from direct project management to administrative support.
Key responsibilities
1. Education & Experience
-Bachelor's degree in Event Management or a related field
- 4 - 6 years experience in event management or live event production for major events, having performed as project lead for complex projects for at least one year
- 1 - 3 years experience in hospitality and VIP functions
- 1 - 3 years experience in the sports industry and in a corporate environment would be an asset
2. Languages
- English / Proficient
- Advanced knowledge of one additional foreign language
3. Other requirements
- Team player with experience working in deadline-driven environments
- Proactive, able to anticipate
- Quick learner and able to adapt to a fast-paced working environment
- Customer-minded, solution and result-oriented
- Good attention to detail and structured working method
- Willing to travel regularly within Europe for site visits (2-3 days at a time) and events (6-10 days) and work at weekends
