Lead, Data & Analytics

A bit about the role:

We are looking for a talented individual with expertise in both data engineering and data analytics, who can lead and inspire a team of data professionals to achieve high-impact outcomes. In this role, you will work directly with the SVP Digital & IT, ensuring the team meets its goals and aligns with the organisation’s vision.

Success in this role requires a strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders, challenging existing solutions, and identifying opportunities for improvement. You will be key in driving data strategies that align with business objectives.

  • Act as a communication partner to the SVP Digital & IT, providing support in daily operations and future roadmaps.
  • Engage with stakeholders across HX to understand business processes and value drivers, capturing requirements for data models.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire the data team, fostering high performance and engagement.
  • Design and maintain efficient data pipelines architecture.
  • Implement solutions that support data lake and data warehousing infrastructure.
  • Assemble large, complex datasets to meet functional and non-functional business needs.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics experts to enhance the functionality of data systems.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and feedback.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and other data assets across the business.
  • Administer and optimise the Power BI ecosystem, ensuring scalability and adherence to development best practices.

Skills & Requirements

About you:

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proven experience in building and optimising data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing others within the team.
  • Knowledge or experience with DBT and Databricks is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with additional programming languages is a plus, but not required.
  • Expertise in Power BI.
