We are seeking an architect and developer to join our Nordic Identity Team. You will have the title of Domain Architect, and the Domain is our Nordic Identity Platform. Your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining the platform, so proficiency in .net and cloud technologies is essential.

As a Domain Architect, you will have a place in Santander's Domain Architecture Board, which Enterprise Architecture leads. Here, you will represent the Nordic Identity Platform, ensuring that decisions regarding eID and signing follow our strategy and direction. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with an eID platform, collaborate with a diverse team, and shape the digital identity landscape in Santander Nordics.

The Nordic Identity platform is a collection of services that offers Nordic development teams a straightforward and compliant way to authenticate natural persons and facilitate digital signing. Your role will be highly collaborative, as you will be part of the Nordic Identity team, working closely with our Digital Identity Specialist to enhance and expand the Nordic Identity Platform. You will also be expected to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and other architects who are using our services, fostering a sense of engagement and connection.
Our team operates primarily in a remote (hybrid) setup, with all team members based in Denmark. As we provide services for Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, we have stakeholders across the Nordics. Because of this, some (approx. ten days) travel activity is to be expected.

Job description and responsibilities

In your day-to-day, you will be working on the development team as a developer. You will contribute with code, design, operational support and architecture alongside the rest of the team.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Produce the architecture for Nordic Identity Platform
  • Analyse and identify requirements.
  • Participate actively in the development of the platform.
  • Participate in architect board meetings

Technology

The core solution in our platform is a REST service built with .NET Core, which integrates with external identity federation providers like MitId, BankId, FTN, etc. We are migrating to the cloud, and experience with Azure would be highly relevant. We are also responsible for strategically using our IDP application. We plan to move all Authentication services from our old REST service to our IDP in the near future.

  • have experience with Continuous Delivery and related concepts like pipelines, unit/integration tests, branching models etc.
  • are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility. Our team has an open form for communication, and we respect each other. We continuously try to set the bar high for ourselves and our surroundings and are always looking for ways to improve ourselves and our services

It is beneficial if you…

  • have knowledge about national eID schemes, OpenID, OAuth, digital signing flows and IDP platforms is an advantage.
  • while we don't have much frontend, we do have some, and therefore some experience with frontend technologies would be nice to have.
  • have experience driving an architecture roadmap within the financial industry or another highly regulated industry.
  • have experience working in a regulated environment.
  • having experience working within a large organisation will also be an advantage.
