We are now looking for a Junior Product Developer to cover during a parental leave. The position starts in December 2024 and is a one year temporary contract. The position will be based at Haglöfs HQ in Alvik, Stockholm, and will report directly to the Development Manager.

As a Junior Product Developer at Haglöfs you will play an important part in contributing to Haglöfs’ continued success, developing products in a way that ensures Haglöfs high demands on quality, finish and sustainability.

Main responsibilities and tasks

As a Junior Product Developer at Haglöfs your main responsibility is the development of our products. From design brief to finished product.

You have close contact with our teams in-house as well as our nominated suppliers to make sure each product reaches our high-quality standards, delivers on time and at an optimal cost from prototypes to production.

You will also work and strive towards the strategic objectives set by Haglöfs for the Product Development department.

Main tasks:

  • Together with design and pattern technicians develop products, from sketch to finished product
  • Review and create sample comment on development samples, and work closely with our vendors to ensure cost efficiency and high quality products
  • Manage relations and day to day issues and communication with vendors and other internal and external parties

Skills & Requirements

We are looking for you who have a great energy and who loves spending time in the greatest playground ever made! We want people who want to have fun, who are curious by nature, courageous to try new things and genuinely fit in with the rest of the team. In order to be able to enter quickly and perform in this role, we believe you have:

  • a Bachelor of Textile Economy / Engineering or equivalent education
  • 1-2 year of work experience as a Jr Product Developer
  • knowledge of production and the way in which textile factories work
  • knowledge of sewing and technical solutions
  • good knowledge of English in both speech and writing
  • good knowledge of the entire Microsoft office package and preferably knowledge in PLM and ERP-systems and the Adobe CS software.

Previous experience from the outdoor industry is considered an advantage.
