YOUR ROLE
As a Software Quality Assurance Tester, you will be responsible for end-to-end QA service delivery for an application under test, including the ability to coordinate contributions of other specialists to complete a joint project. You will implement testing best practices across the end-to-end testing projects including API/web service testing, Test data management using SQL, batch jobs in UC4, JIRA test management, UNIX, XML, JSON.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- To ensure that the software quality of the systems and applications, are robustly and accurately tested, in line with Test Plans.
- Working across multiple projects and Teams, supporting project managers in all aspects of their work.
- Adhering to and implementing test best practices and procedures
- Estimating and planning the work of the team.
- Tracking projects progress against the plan and reporting variances.
- Managing issues and risks affecting the project/team.
- Collaborating closely with all stakeholders, to ensure that quality feedback can be given as early and as efficiently as possible in the delivery cycle.
- Participating in the project governance process including attendance at relevant steering group and stakeholder meetings.
- Identifying and implementing continuous service improvements.
Skills & Requirements
YOUR PROFILE
- ISTQB Certified Foundation Tester and Any Agile certification
- Fully proficient in project tracking tools, such as JIRA.
- Adaptable to working under a variety of project delivery methodologies, waterfall, Agile (Scrum) and hybrid development model.
- Experience interfacing with business owners and users, application development and technical colleagues, testers and all levels of management.
- Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality and compliance with project standards.
- Understanding of systems architecture and databases, sound grasp of the fundamentals of taxation, from registration through to returns filing and payment options.
- Strong knowledge of testing best practices and emerging standards.
- Knowledge of regression and functional/requirement-based test strategies.
