Elevate Your Career in the Arctic – Front Desk Manager Position at Radisson Blu Polar Hotel!
We are looking for a Front Desk Manager for Radisson Blu Polar Hotel that will inspire the team to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and will be working closely with the Hotel Director at Hurtigruten Svalbard AS.
As the Front Desk Manager, you’ll ensure our hotel consistently aligns with the standards of Hurtigruten Svalbard AS and Radisson Blu and you’ll have the authority to make decisions that uphold these standards.You lead and develop the organisation and your team according to company strategy, goals and local conditions. You have a passion for service and through your leadership you will inspire and motivate your team to create unique experiences for our guests.
Your role is to provide exceptional, courteous, and efficient service, making sure our guests always feel welcome and their needs are met throughout their stay. You’ll build strong, lasting relationships with guests and inform them about our additional products and services.
You’ll also lead and manage our Front Desk Team, ensuring they deliver top-notch service.

We’re looking for someone who can truly lead and inspire our team. This means having strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and influence others. It’s important that you lead by example, showing the behaviors and attitudes you expect from your team.
We also value a service-minded approach, where you can create exceptional experiences for our guests. Being team-oriented is crucial too, as we believe in the power of collaboration across the organization.
Good communication skills in English are essential, and if you know a Scandinavian language, that’s a great bonus!
Also we want you to have the following background and experience;
- Bachelor within Hotel Management or other relevant discipline
Long experience from hotel operation can compensate for lack of formal education - Knowledge of budgeting and cost control
- Proven knowledge of front desk operations
- Proven commercial awareness
- Efficient user of relevant systems (Opera Cloud and Symphony)
