Senior Data Engineer (m/w/d)

We offer you a unique opportunity to become one of the pioneers at our battery gigafactory in Germany, offering a head-start in Sweden during the initial phase of your employment with us. Through our 12-18 months Battery Excellence program you will have the chance to delve into various aspects of the Northvolt Software and Data Platform as well as battery manufacturing process in Sweden, and ultimately emerge as one of the first engineers at our Heide facility.

As an experienced Senior Data Engineer in the Data & Analytics Team at Northvolt's Gigafactory site in Heide, northern Germany, you will drive the design, implementation, and optimisation of complex data infrastructure and systems critical to Northvolt’s data strategy.

You will be part of the Drei Data & Analytics Team building the next-gen connected factory. Our cloud-first strategy, implemented today in Northvolt Ett (our first Gigafactory in Skellefteå, Sweden), sets a global example in manufacturing. Our factories produce large amounts of heterogenous data that get uploaded to our cloud platform, and are then processed, organized, and ready for analysis. You will work with the Data Platform Team based in Sweden to strengthen the technology platform to expand beyond today’s capabilities and our first Gigafactory deployment in Sweden. The Northvolt Data Platform powers detailed product traceability, real-time monitoring of manufacturing line effectiveness, computer vision defect detection, and machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) modelling to predict quality and performance of the produced battery cells. Check out our blueprint strategy for our factories at Northvolt’s next-gen connected factory—a digital blueprint factory built from scratch | Amazon Web Services.
