Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Financial Controller to join Basware.

In this role, you will play a key part in our group consolidation process and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, working closely with the team. You’ll use the Financial Performance Management (FPM) consolidation tool to ensure that Group reporting aligns with our policies and IFRS standards. Your IFRS expertise will be utilized across the company as you take ownership of specific accounting areas and support local legal company accountants in navigating complex accounting interpretations.

Collaboration with auditors and external service providers, as well as taking an active role in the development of external and internal reporting processes at the Group level, are essential aspects of your position. Additionally, you will manage Group tax-related topics, including transfer pricing, DAC6, tax policy, VAT, and WHT, with the assistance of external partners, and prepare CITs for Finnish entities within the Group.

As Basware embarks on its growth journey, including active inorganic growth, you will also be a key player in M&A activities and new business integrations, providing crucial external accounting expertise.

As a Financial Controller, you’ll be part of our combined Record to Report and Group Control team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Record to Report and Group Control. The Group Control side of the team is responsible for consolidating the financials of Group companies and preparing interim and annual reports. We collaborate closely with other CFO functions to deliver timely and reliable financial reporting that complies with IFRS, legal, and corporate requirements. Our team is passionate about maintaining and developing financial reporting systems and processes, providing guidance and training on financial reporting to the business and other functions, and playing an active role in all major business transactions that impact the Group.
