We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for a Prototyping Technician for our Land Vehicle EMEA Interior sub-segment.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various prototyping techniques, materials, and technologies, as well as the ability to translate conceptual designs into functional prototypes. This role requires a hands-on professional with a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with design and engineering teams.
Your main responsibilities
- Create detailed prototypes based on initial design concepts, sketches, and CAD models.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of prototyping tools and equipment.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to meet design specifications and functional requirements.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Ensure that prototypes are accurate, functional, and meet the specified design criteria.
- Conduct tests and evaluations to verify the performance and durability of prototypes.
- Build testing set-ups for prototype validation tests
- Support engineers performing validation tests

Skills & Requirements
A suitable background would be a the following in terms of qualifications and experiences:
- Technical education
- Experience as model maker, toolmaker, locksmith or similar
- Preferably experience in prototyping in product development department for products like refrigeration, HVAC or Sanitation.Experience
- German on a fluent level

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material properties, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
