Health & Safety Business Partner

Job Description

Due to growth of our current team we have a great opportunity for a Health and Safety Business Partner.  Working closely with the Head of Health & Safety to champion and deliver the safety agenda across our 3 sites in Milton Keynes, Bedford and Bagshot. This role based around our 2 busy 24/7 food manufacturing sites, and requires a candidate with excellent influencing and change management skills.

You will be great at:

• Actively promoting a strong safety culture through positive engagement
• Supporting and developing incident investigations and advise on effective follow up for corrective actions
• Developing and conducting in-house health and safety training
• Monitoring current and potential health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace
• Supporting in the development of site H&S Policies
• Monitoring and maintenance of the many forms of risk assessment applicable to our operations
• Audit contractor and contractor host behaviours
• Drive internal safety inspections and audits to ensure they are completed at the prescribed intervals
• Analyse accident / incident statistics and identify trends
• Organise departmental and monthly safety committee meetings
• Alongside the General Managers & Head of Health & Safety develop and successfully deliver agreed parts of the H&S plan

You are:

• NEBOSH Qualified
• Commercially aware
• An excellent communicator, influencer with good presentation skills
• Sound with IT systems – Particularly Microsoft Office
• A strong influencer and negotiator

You have:

• 5 years’ experience in a H&S leadership role
• FMCG/Manufacturing experience
• A Good understanding of health and safety legislation
