DigitalRoute solves this by creating a real-time usage data layer for enterprises. Our products transform raw usage data into clear information for billing, in real time and at high scale.

As a senior and experienced Software Engineer at DigitalRoute, you will immediately play an important role in the development of our SaaS offering, a multi-tenant cloud service called Usage Engine Cloud Edition. This product is growing quickly. We are already processing billions of events per month and some very well-known companies are coming on board right now.

You will not just be another person in a sea of people - you will be influencing things like software design, scalability, performance, maintainability and quality.
Your expertise and your experience will be instrumental in helping us stay ahead and have a competitive edge in the market. Active collaboration across teams and professions is natural in DR, we know you like that as well.

What you'll do

• You will be working in one of our four SaaS engineering teams, where people really enjoy collaborating and will welcome you with open arms!
• You will be building a product where things like scalability, security, transaction safety, and high throughput are key. Some very well-known companies will use what you create!
• The product is cloud-native and multi-tenant; running on AWS, using tech like Node, Typescript, Kubernetes, Kafka and AWS services. We continuously improve things.
• Naturally, you will have influence in discussions about software design and architecture.
• Your input on how to do all this in a lean, agile and efficient way is also very welcome.

What you'll bring

• Professional experience and seniority.
• Strong and proven tech skills; likely with most of these: Java, Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes, Azure, GCP.
• Deep experience with Microservice architectures & event-driven architectures, as well as Kafka or some other distributed event streaming platform.
• Database skills plus experience from handling huge amounts of transactions.
• Plenty of experience and opinions on software architecture & design.
• Quality thinking, based on care for the customers, design, release processes, testing and more.
• Teamwork preference – you enjoy helping others understand, grow and perform.
• Communication skills; you can explain things both with and without all the details.
• Experience working with (and improving) agile team processes.
