Junior Accountant
We are looking for a Junior Accountant for our Tokyo office.
The Gard group is a specialist marine insurer headquartered in the south of Norway. Providing “best in class” internal service is central to what we do, and the global accounting team handles all matters related to Financial Reporting and group accounting.
You will work with Accounting and Office Administration teams not only in the Tokyo office but also our other offices around the world.
Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from book-keeping and bank reconciliation, to more general office administration, often related to travel and expenses claims.
We are looking for a candidate who is keen to learn and develop new skills, is flexible, proactive and can see the potential for developing and improving our current processes.
Qualifications, experience, and technical skills
- You should have a relevant degree and suitable experience.
- You should have minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or a related position.
- You are fluent in Japanese and have very good command of written and spoken English.
- You should have knowledge of software and tools such as MS Office (at least MS Excel and MS Outlook). Knowledge of accounting EPS (e.g. Agresso) is preferred.

- You pay attention to details and are accurate in work involving numbers.
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to perform in a global and team-oriented work environment.
- You are able to prioritize, structure, coordinate and organize tasks in a busy environment and to work independently.
- You have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues.
This is a full-time position, based in our office in Tokyo, Japan.

資格／経験／技術スキル
- 業務に関連した学歴をお持ちの方。
- 3年以上の経理または関連業務経験者。（英文経理の経験者優遇）
- 日本語が堪能で、英語力にも秀でている方。
- MS Office（少なくともMS ExcelとMS Outlook）などのソフトウェアやツールの知識をお持ちの方。会計ソフトウェア（Agressoなど）の知識があれば尚可。
