We are currently looking for Office Support Trainees for the trainee period starting in Autumn 2024. This position would suit someone who is in the first or second year of their studies, wishes to see how a law firm functions on a daily basis, and is eager to put their skills into practice.
“The best thing about working at Hannes has been getting to know amazing people and learning about the functioning of a large law firm. There is a good team spirit in our team, and I have made new friends during the traineeship. Our office has a low hierarchy, and everyone has been really supportive. Our tasks have been versatile, and the working days are never the same. I have really enjoyed our mentoring programme and got to know different teams with the help of my mentor. All in all, this traineeship has been a great opportunity to develop myself and to get to work with talented people.” – Office support trainee, 2024
Job Description and Responsibilities
You will be taking care of practical matters involved with the daily “running” of the office, e.g. post-room, delivering mail and shipments, copying, filling stocks as well as catering and helping in organising internal and external events. Additionally, you will be taking care of our reception and switchboard. In practice, this means telephone communication, welcoming guests, organising meetings, and taking care of travel arrangements. The duration of the employment and your working hours will be agreed on separately.
The traineeship starts as soon as possible during the autumn and is a part-time traineeship.
Skills and Requirements
As this is a trainee position, we do not expect you to know everything, but to ensure that you will be able to succeed in your duties, we do require:
Most of all, we value a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
What Is in It For You?
At Hannes Snellman, we cherish a sense of community, and we will do our best to make you feel part of the team from day one. On your first day, you will be assigned a tutor who will support you throughout your traineeship, and before diving into your duties, you will participate in a comprehensive orientation. Our trainees also have the chance to get together in a more informal setting when we organise traditional trainee evenings or other fun events. As we are determined to maximise your learning experience as a trainee, you will receive regular feedback and have the opportunity to attend our Hannes Academy lectures and mentoring breakfasts on a variety of topics. We also offer you good benefits (lunch and recreation benefit, and a ticket for public transport) and a competitive salary.
