Schibsted Media is thus looking for an experienced Investment Professional to support our business and management in assessing and pursuing structural opportunities within the media space.

 

Role Overview

The Investment Professional will be an integral part of the central team driving the strategic agenda for the leadership team. Reporting directly to the Director of ‘Strategy, M&A, and Sustainability’, the Investment Professional will work closely with the strategy team to define Schibsted Media’s future growth priorities and ambitions and create a holistic investment strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create an investment plan in alignment with Schibsted Media’s strategy
  • Manage M&A projects, including financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, negotiations, and deal execution.
  • Analyze potential investment cases and develop documentation for investment meetings with Schibsted Media’s management and board of directors.
  • Conduct business intelligence efforts in relevant markets for Schibsted Media.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential targets.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance.
  • Proven project experience and the ability to work independently.
  • Strategic and commercial mindset with the ability to see the “big picture”.
  • Proactive approach, natural bias toward action, and result-focused mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build networks among relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work in high-pressure situations.
  • Fluency in English and either Swedish or Norwegian.
