We are looking for a highly motivated, driven, organised and service-minded person to take on the role of Executive Assistant to our CEO.

You will play a key role in the support of the CEO and be the first point of contact at the CEO`s office for people both within and outside the organisation. You will also play a key role towards the Group Leadership Team and the Board of Directors. The role entails frequent communication with several of Gard’s key stakeholders, such as Members and clients, brokers, authorities, and other partners in the maritime industry.

You will have an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of tasks and be a key support to our CEO and the Group Leadership Team.

Your primary focus will be:

  • Support the CEO in the daily tasks, including managing the calendar, e-mails and meetings
  • Prioritise tasks and activities both internally and externally according to the CEO’s agenda
  • Organise, prepare and set up Group Leadership Team meetings
  • Plan and organise board and committee meetings worldwide. This entails taking part in the event management process together with colleagues and key stakeholders, from the early planning stage through implementation and post-event evaluation
  • The role comes with great responsibility and room for taking initiative

Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience from similar roles is an advantage
  • High degree of confidentiality and integrity with a strong business acumen
  • Friendly, diplomatic, energetic and service-minded with a “can-do” attitude
  • Self-motivated, structured and proactive, with the ability to see what needs to be done and work independently
  • Time-management skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy even during hectic times
  • Excellent command of spoken and written Norwegian and English
