Based in Vantaa, the IT Operations Manager for EMEA is a hands-on technical role that oversees and directs the day to day operation of a multinational IT Helpdesk/Desktop Support Services team. Reporting to US based Director of IT, the IT Operations Manager for EMEA will work closely and collaborate with the IT Operations Manager for North America and contribute to the vision and strategic planning of the technology environment and will support the implementation and management of computer technology throughout the organization globally.

In this role, the IT Operations Manager is responsible for effectively managing customer expectations, setting the organizational standard for customer engagement, and serving as a communication channel between European and Asian customers and the IT organization. Interfacing with other IT stakeholders on analysis, projects and reporting is crucial and a key component of success. This position will also manage IT operating expenses in Vantaa, present the office needs for IT capital improvement, and assist with complex technical tasks for the Infrastructure team when on-site skills are needed.

In short, key responsibilities include overseeing IT Service Desk function in EMEA region, promoting technology vision within the organization, managing vendor relationships, and developing and enforcing department policies within the organization.

Skills & Requirements

What we expect:

  • 5+ years technical, professional experience across multiple IT functions
  • Some management experience that demonstrates proficiency in leadership
  • Microsoft 365
  • RMM experience – Kaseya a plus
  • Team leadership – Ability to effectively manage an internal IT technical team and multiple technology partners and Managed Service providers. Set department priorities
  • Communication skills – Strong written and verbal communications; able to communicate with team members, management personnel, and end users throughout the organization
  • Problem-solving skills – Excellent trouble shooting skills directly addressing issues of software, hardware, servers
  • Full working proficiency in English, at least basic Finnish, German is an advantage
