Product Owner, Salesforce

A bit about the role:
Overview:

The Salesforce PO will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and validating salesforce operations for Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud. You will also need to understanding user stories and work closely with a cross-functional team to build business cases for Salesforce solutions that align with our business objectives. You will work closely with other Product Owners to deliver overarching business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into well-defined product requirements.
  • Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring the team works on tasks that maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all customers.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation. Assist the commercial team in building business cases for additional resources for new functionality.
  • Lead the planning of product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of operational updates. Manage communications with stakeholders across the business for releases.
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
  • Communicate priorities, project details, and reasoning with developers and business owners so all parties are up to speed.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in CRM and CRM marketing, staying up to date and understanding product updates and new releases from Salesforce that can help commercial teams meet their goals.
  • Ensure data is managed correctly and moves without issues between Salesforce Clouds, and other necessary platforms like Data Platform and Loyalty.
  • Understand data privacy rules and ensure proper management of these rules. Collaborate with DPO and Security to ensure we are meeting these requirements
  • Work with Power BI and Reporting Teams to generate actionable insights for commercial and marketing teams.
  • Managerial duties including 1 to 1s, OKR and goal setting, mentorship, and project assistance.

Skills & Requirements

About you:
Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud capabilities and constraints. Certifications recommended
  • Proven ability to define requirements that pinpoint business challenges and identify technical and business changes required to address them.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities with high professionalism.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

  • Leverage experience and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with business and teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills enable you to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities
